Our Hospital

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and patient care
  • Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Monitor anesthesia and recover patients
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs
  • Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Create and discuss treatment plans and estimates with clients
  • Educate clients regarding preventive care, medications, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations
  • Maintain accurate medical records and medical charges

Qualifications

  • Previous hands-on experience in animal veterinary hospital required
  • Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred
  • Strong patient handling and restraint skills
  • Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and professional
  • RVT/LVT/CVT preferred, but not required
  • Spanish-speaking preferred
