Position Summary:
IEM is currently seeking a Material Handler for our Greenfield, IN location and will report into the Shipping Manager.
Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Greenfield, IN offices and does not offer remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips
Unload and stage incoming shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
Store materials in designated locations in accordance with inventory management procedures and safety requirements
Pick, kit, and stage materials for production orders accurately and on time to support manufacturing schedules
Issue materials to the production floor and obtain required sign-offs to maintain accurate inventory records
Conduct cycle counts and participate in physical inventory audits; investigate and report discrepancies
Coordinate with the Production Planning and Scheduling teams to prioritize material movement based on production needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and on the production floor in compliance with 5S standards
Package and prepare finished goods or sub-assemblies for transfer or shipment as directed
Operate material handling equipment safely and report maintenance needs promptly
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse organization
The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is an asset
1 or more years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling role
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification; experience with pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems; experience with INFOR/SyteLine is an asset
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling parts, components, and documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to shifting priorities
Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with production, planning, and scheduling teams
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization
Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
