About the Role As a Respiratory Therapist with Apria, you’ll provide essential respiratory care, equipment setup, patient education, and ongoing clinical support for patients in their homes. This role supports a region undergoing a merge of three branches, requiring coverage across Atlanta toward Athens and northern Georgia. Because of the wide territory and high windshield time, candidates who live close to the branch are strongly preferred. You will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with a collaborative team including drivers, branch coordinators, and respiratory therapists. This role is part of a very close-knit, family-like branch culture. Key Highlights Work Arrangement: On-site with significant travel. Coverage Area: Atlanta → Athens → Northern Georgia (multi-branch merge) Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Mileage starts from home during on-call weeks. Open to new graduates meeting certification requirements. Schedule Standard hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM On-call rotation every 3rd week. Travel required daily across multiple coverage zones Mileage reimbursement provided Travel Expectations Extensive travel; large coverage area due to branch mergers. High windshield time is expected. Must be comfortable driving long distances frequently. Salary Range $26.75 – $39.28 per hour What You’ll Do Conduct home visits to perform CPAP/BiPAP/NIV/ventilation equipment setups and follow-ups Provide patient and caregiver education on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Perform recurring visits with established patients Maintain accurate documentation using electronic systems (no paper processes) Respond to patient needs, clinical requests, and hospital discharge coordination Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and internal branch partners Ensure all actions meet regulatory and safety standards Required Respiratory Therapist with an active Georgia RT License. Valid driver’s license. Personal vehicle for travel (mileage reimbursed). Ability to lift 50 lbs. Strong customer service mindset and empathy. Comfort using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation.
