Key Responsibilities
(include but are not limited to):
- Train alongside experienced Nursing Home Administrators while gaining hands-on operational and leadership experience
- Learn all aspects of skilled nursing facility operations, including nursing, therapy, dietary, environmental services, business office, admissions, maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Assist leadership teams with day-to-day facility operations and special projects
- Develop knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Support department leaders in developing efficient processes and achieving quality outcomes
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, and community partners
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement
- Complete all requirements of the Ohio Administrator Residency Program, if applicable
Skills & Qualifications
- Current, active, unencumbered Ohio Nursing Home Administrator License OR eligibility to participate in the Ohio Administrator Residency Program
- Candidates interested in the Administrator Residency Program must possess, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree
- Previous healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred but not required
- Newly licensed Nursing Home Administrators are encouraged to apply
- Strong leadership potential with a desire to grow professionally
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
