Position Overview

JDB Plumbing & Heating is seeking an experienced and hands-on Plumber/Junior Foreman to lead plumbing crews while actively performing plumbing installations and field work. This position combines leadership responsibilities with day-to-day plumbing duties, making it ideal for a skilled plumber who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining productivity, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plumbing crews on residential, commercial, and new construction projects.
• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and system modifications alongside crew members.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate daily job site activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, project requirements, and company standards.
• Train, mentor, and support apprentice and journeyman plumbers.
• Monitor job progress and maintain project schedules.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, general contractors, and inspectors.
• Identify and resolve job site issues and challenges.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment and enforce company safety policies.
• Complete daily reports, material requests, and project documentation accurately and on time.
• Assist with quality control and ensure customer satisfaction on every project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience required.
• Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and work in various job site conditions.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
