Kforce's client, a growing financial institution located in the Boston, MA area, is seeking a Senior Accountant/Analyst to support core accounting and financial reporting functions. This role partners closely with senior leadership and plays a key role in month-end close, regulatory reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The position offers strong visibility, hands-on exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to automation and efficiency efforts. Hybrid schedule available after initial onboarding period. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal financial statements and external regulatory reports
- Perform and review general ledger reconciliations
- Support month-end close including journal entries and account analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate processes and implement improvements and automation initiatives
- Develop documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines
- Partner with internal and external auditors and support audit activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CFA preferred
- 4+ years of accounting or finance experience
- Prior experience in banking or financial services (or related audit experience)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Oracle, Blackline, Sageworks, AvidPay preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Understanding of internal controls and regulatory compliance (BSA knowledge a plus)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
