Staff Accountant

Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant at our manufacturing client in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented team player who will be responsible for supporting the AR process and general accounting duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for applying daily cash to customer accounts,
  • Interact with customers regarding collections and other issues,
  • Reconcile subsidiary accounts receivable to general ledger,
  • Application of progress payments, prepare and maintain various reports,
  • Assist in performing customer credit reviews.
  • Support SOX documentation and testing requirements.
  • Backup support of other general accounting responsibilities.
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Order Entry of Invoices
  • General Accounting functions
  • Syteline ERP accounting software a plus

Minimum requirements: • B.S. degree in accounting or finance with up to 5+ years experience in an accounts receivable position.

  • Strong systems and computer skills required.
  • Highly organized,
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills,
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
