Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced full-time New Patient Intake Coordinator . This role manages the full intake process for pediatric therapy families, from referral receipt through scheduled care, across our Outpatient Therapy Clinics and Pediatric Home Health Therapy Services. We are looking for someone who provides excellent customer service, treats our patients and families with respect and empathy, and communicates professionally with families, physicians, and referral partners alike.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

Full-Time (40 hours per week): In-person at our Aurora Headquarters or Hybrid/Remote

Hours / Days: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, review, and enter incoming therapy referrals into our EMR systems, creating complete and accurate profiles for each new patient.

Help route each referral to the service setting that best fits the family's needs between outpatient or home health therapy.

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits on all payers listed on each referral and identify any additional payers.

Maintain working knowledge of the insurance plans we accept and the services they cover.

Confirm complete, signed, and dated physician orders for home health therapy referrals.

Schedule patients and coordinate with other department needs.

Obtain complete and accurate information from the patient for billing and demographics purposes.

Contact new families to verify demographics and physician information and explain next steps in their care.

Follow up with patients regarding continuing appointments.

Review and update patient records.

Communicate professionally with referral sources, including physicians, case managers, and community partners.

Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner.

Work effectively as part of a highly professional team.

Other duties as assigned.
