Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify psychosocial needs, including diagnostic evaluations and mental health status.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Deliver specialized counseling for child and family cases, hospice care, addiction recovery, dementia care, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities.
- Manage case documentation accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for intake processes, discharge planning, and post-acute care transitions in inpatient, outpatient, nursing home, assisted living, or home & community care settings.
- Engage in crisis management and intervention strategies to support patients experiencing mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient progress and treatment effectiveness to inform clinical decisions and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in Fl
- Proven experience in clinical social work within hospital, inpatient, outpatient, hospice, or senior care environments.
- Entry-level graduate would be acceptable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems, and healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA.
- Demonstrated expertise in child & family counseling, behavioral health therapies (including applied behavior analysis), crisis intervention, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and data collection methods to track patient outcomes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.

Pay: $33.75 - $42.25 per hour
