Position Overview

As a Retail Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, and visitors while supporting loss prevention efforts and providing exceptional customer service.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the retail location
• Monitor for theft, suspicious activity, and safety concerns
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Prepare accurate incident and activity reports
• Communicate effectively with store personnel and management
• Assist with crowd management and emergency procedures when necessary
• Follow all site-specific security procedures and post orders
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing site policies

Qualifications

• Active Washington Security Guard License preferred or ability to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous security, military, retail, customer service, or loss prevention experience preferred
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Strong observational and problem-solving abilities
• Must be reliable and available to work the posted weekend schedule
