Medical Assistant

Southdale ObGyn is a family-oriented established practice with locations in both Edina and Burnsville. Our clinic strives to provide the best care to our patients. The medical assistant role is vital to our practice. This role provides hands on care to our patients as well as helping our providers deliver exceptional care. The day to day duties include working closely with different providers and assisting them with procedures, taking vitals, performing phlebotomy, and rooming patients . This department has many long term employees who have built lasting relationships with each other and our patients.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthcare, enjoy working with people, and either possess or be able to obtain a certification or registration as a medical assistant. Phlebotomy skills are required. The position will be assigned work in both of our locations - Edina and Burnsville. Previous experience as a medical assistant and/or phlebotomy experience in an ObGyn or laboratory setting is preferred. .

Clinical Duties:

• Performing injections
• Sterilizing instruments/lab work areas
• Administering medications
• Updating medical charts of patients
• Performing Blood Draws
• Taking Vital Signs
• Rooming patients
• Assisting providers w/ in-clinic procedures

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
