Accountant

Trillium Staffing is now hiring an Accountant in Virginia Beach VA!

This is a direct hire position offering a starting salary of $80-90,000 with the possibility of relocation.

Responsibilities and Activities:

-Perform month-end close activities to complete close in a timely and accurate manner

-Perform monthly reconciliations including researching and resolving items

-Organize, update and secure financial records and documentation

-Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

-Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and explanations

-Preparescomplex data-driven accounting analyses, estimates, and journal entries

-Support Payroll processing bi-monthly as needed

-Prepare various tax and licensing forms and renewals

-Maintains Fixed Assets schedules and depreciation

-Assist with wiring of Loan Fund wires as needed

-Assist with preparation and submission of tax items for external tax preparers

-Assist with Audit tasks and inquiries in a timely, accurate manner

-Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls

-Contribute to our small team with a willingness to help with all activities including paying bills, filing, copying, customer service, etc. as needed

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

-Minimum two years’ experience in accounting or a related field with strong mathematical and analytical skills

-Proficient/Advanced in Microsoft Excel

-Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

-Ability to read and analyze financial reports

-Effective oral and written communication skills needed

-Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in high-energy, fast-paced environment and work independently

-Attention to detail is critical

-Team player to achieve Company and Department goals
