Overview:

In the sphere of healthcare, the Registered Nurse (RN) is entrusted with providing exceptional patient care and ensuring successful patient outcomes by skillfully and empathetically applying nursing knowledge. Operating under general oversight, this role contributes to the advancement of professional nursing practices by managing patient care through the nursing process and participating in interdisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews patient needs and conditions within the assigned unit to ensure the delivery of nursing care that is individualized and caters to the specific needs of each patient.
• Assesses patient information, which involves medical records, diagnostic data, and current condition, to develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Creates nursing processes, such as medication administration and treatments, to provide comprehensive and effective patient care.
• Ensures the accuracy of medical records for compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Determine the patient's reaction to interventions and identify any additional interventions needed to achieve the specified care objectives.
• Plays a role in the collaborative efforts of the interdisciplinary care team for efficient care planning.

Education

• Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
