Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday

Preschool Cook Early Childhood Education Center

The Learning Experience Worcester is seeking a dependable and organized Preschool Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our growing early childhood education center. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, values food safety, and takes pride in supporting children's health and well-being.

As our Preschool Cook, you will play an important role in creating a positive mealtime experience for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
• Monitor food allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure child safety
• Maintain accurate food inventory and assist with ordering supplies
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
• Communicate menu information and allergy updates with teaching staff
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts health regulations and licensing requirements
• Support special events and classroom celebrations as needed

Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification required
• Previous cooking, food service, or kitchen experience required
• Experience in a childcare, school, or institutional kitchen preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
• Reliable and comfortable working in an early childhood education environment
