The Dining Services Worker's role involves aiding the manager in preparing food or meals, handling cash receipts, and keeping track of meal records. They support the manager in compiling daily reports and uphold excellent levels of quality in food preparation, cleanliness, and kitchen safety protocols.
Responsibilities for Dining Services Worker:
- Cook and bake high-quality dishes and pastries based on a predetermined meal plan
- Compile a daily document confirming the validity of transactions
- Understanding the components of a meal is essential
- Properly store food in a precise and hygienic fashion
- Follow designated meal times, adhere to the guidelines set by the department, and serve meals accordingly
- Proper handling and maintenance of kitchen tools, particularly cutting implements, are essential for safe and efficient food preparation
