We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused Leasing Specialist / Assistant Property Manager to help deliver an exceptional experience to both prospective and current residents.

This position plays an important role in supporting our property management team by assisting with leasing, resident relations, inspections, and daily operations.
What You’ll Do
- Guide prospective residents through the leasing process from initial inquiry to move-in
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and online leasing inquiries promptly
- Schedule and conduct property tours and follow up with prospective tenants
- Process rental applications and assist with tenant screening
- Prepare lease agreements, renewals, and move-in documentation
- Conduct move-in, move-out, and routine property inspections
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Maintain accurate tenant records and documentation using AppFolio and company systems
- Build positive relationships with residents by providing excellent customer service
- Maintain knowledge of the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (VRLTA) and company policies
What We’re Looking For
- Previous leasing, property management, real estate, or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning and using property management software (AppFolio experience is a plus)
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential property management or leasing
- Familiarity with AppFolio or similar property management software
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (VRLTA) is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
