Position Summary

The Electrical Specialist is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment throughout the Eddyville Chlor Alkali facility. This position performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues that impact plant operations.

The Electrical Specialist partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and contractors to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support operational excellence within a Process Safety Management (PSM) manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and systems throughout the facility.

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on motors, motor control centers (MCCs), drives, switchgear, power distribution systems, and electrical equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Support calibration, testing, and maintenance of plant instrumentation and control devices.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.

Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.

Support capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and facility modifications.

Coordinate with Operations and Engineering to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within company systems.

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies, electrical codes, environmental requirements, and Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, electrical system performance, and operational efficiency.

Perform other electrical maintenance and reliability duties as assigned.
