Role Description This full-time, on-site Dental Hygienist role is based in Cincinnati, OH. The Dental Hygienist will perform routine preventive care, including dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, and application of sealants and fluoride treatments. The role includes conducting oral health assessments, taking and interpreting radiographs, documenting findings in patient records, and assisting in the development of individualized care plans. The Dental Hygienist will educate patients on oral hygiene practices, support the dentist during procedures as needed, and follow all infection control and safety protocols. This position also involves collaborating with the dental team, maintaining equipment and operatories, and contributing to a positive, patient-first practice culture.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the state of Ohio (or eligibility to obtain licensure before start date).
  • Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures, including periodontal charting, scaling and root planing, prophylaxis, sealants, and fluoride treatments.
  • Experience with dental radiography, including taking and processing digital X-rays, and accurately documenting clinical findings.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards, OSHA and HIPAA regulations, and best practices for safe, hygienic patient care.
  • Strong patient communication skills, with the ability to educate individuals of diverse backgrounds on oral health and preventive care.
  • Comfort using dental practice management software and electronic health records, with attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, manage time well, and adapt to a dynamic clinical schedule.
  • Commitment to sustainable and responsible clinical practices, as well as continued professional development and learning.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program; CPR certification required.
  • Previous experience in a general or family dental practice is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
