Job Overview:

Our Equipment Services team is searching for a knowledgeable Repair and Maintenance Technician to join us

The responsibilities of this role extend to the greater Memphis area and its vicinities.

The Mon-Thurs 10-hour schedule is an excellent option for individuals who want to maintain a work-life balance while increasing their earning potential

Depending on your role, you may also need to be prepared to work longer hours when working overnight. This could involve working 10, 12 or even 16-hour shifts on a regular or irregular basis

The position may entail up to 25% of overnight travel depending on the company's operational requirements.

The latest tech pay with an additional $5 per hour differential remuneration

Regardless of the task at hand, the Technician Tech Services maintains a commitment to excellence that ensures customers receive nothing but the best service available.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Efficiently manage time and resources to ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner, with minimal disruptions to daily business operations

Accurate records of delivery, removal, and movement must be kept and parts inventory accountability must be maintained utilizing handheld devices

Drive safely, obeying all motor vehicle laws and avoiding any distractions that may come your way. Additionally, make sure to finish all the safety training tasks that are required and adhere to the safety policies and procedures at your workplace. This includes conducting the DOT-required daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle

In maintaining a responsible and efficient work environment, it is imperative to practice proper ownership, usage, and monitoring of all key, tool, or supply essential to the job

To ensure that you effectively operate and leverage equipment to carry out your roles and responsibilities, you must participate in all training programs that relate to the equipment you may use

Employers need to identify the specific KSAs required for each position and ensure that candidates possess the necessary skills and expertise before hiring them

The position mandates the capability to lift weights of 50 pounds or below

Fatigue and drowsiness should not be ignored when driving or riding for long periods

Use cordless tools for convenience and mobility while handling refrigeration units, while general hand tools allow you to perform minor repairs and adjustments with ease

Perform tasks both indoors and outdoors at clients' sites, with varying temperature conditions

Qualifications for Electrical and Refrigeration Field Workers

A high school diploma and a GED carry the same weight in terms of meeting most entry-level job and education requirements

Acquiring valuable insights through up to 12 months of work exposure

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid driver's license

Obtaining EPA Level 1 Refrigeration certification, or having a clear strategy to do so within the next six months, is preferred when applying for this job

Obtaining formal certification in operating forklift and pallet jack ensures proper handling of the equipment, and reduces the risk of workplace accidents

Passing the company certification courses for equipment repair and safety, like BEST, FAST, and Advanced Refrigeration, is a significant accomplishment that showcases a worker's proficiency in these areas and enhances their career prospects
