We are seeking an experienced, passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen of a respected classic French restaurant. This is an opportunity for a chef who values craftsmanship, discipline, and hospitality while taking pride in producing timeless French cuisine at the highest level.

Our kitchen is built on traditional techniques, quality ingredients, and consistency. We are looking for a leader who can inspire a team, maintain exacting standards, and execute service with professionalism and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all daily kitchen operations and dinner service.
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Train, mentor, and develop cooks while fostering a positive, accountable culture.
  • Uphold classic & modern French cooking techniques and culinary standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, food cost, and waste control.
  • Create schedules and manage labor efficiently.
  • Ensure all health, sanitation, and food safety standards are consistently met.
  • Work closely with ownership and the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Contribute to seasonal menu development while respecting the restaurant's French identity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive kitchen leadership experience, including experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
  • Strong foundation in classic French cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Calm, confident leadership under pressure.
  • High standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and consistency.
  • Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and labor control.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable.
  • A hands-on leader who leads by example every day.
