You will assist with organizing financial documents, updating accounting records, processing invoices, and helping prepare basic financial reports. Duties
- Assist with updating and maintaining financial records, including invoices, receipts, purchase orders, vendor statements, and internal billing documentation.
- Help prepare basic financial reports and summaries for management under the guidance of senior accounting staff.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes by entering data, tracking payments, verifying invoices, and following up with vendors as needed.
- Perform basic account and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial information.
- Assist with month-end procedures, including organizing documents, verifying numbers, and preparing journal entry support.
- Maintain organized and confidential filing systems for both digital and physical financial and administrative documents.
- Help gather data, create spreadsheets, and support budgeting and forecasting tasks as assigned.
- Assist with internal audit preparation and compliance documentation related to state cannabis regulations.
- Provide general office support, such as answering phones, scheduling, managing office supplies, and assisting management with administrative tasks.
Experience
- Some experience in an office, administrative, or finance setting is preferred—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with accounting or office software (QuickBooks, Excel, Xero, or similar) is a big plus.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping concepts, including expenses, invoices, and account balances.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software, tools, and internal processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
- Interest in growing within accounting, administration, or the cannabis industry is highly valued.
- College students pursuing Finance, Accounting, or related majors are highly encouraged to apply.
