Duties

  • Assist in planning and developing diverse menus that meet dietary needs and preferences, ensuring nutritional balance and presentation appeal
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to food safety, hygiene standards, and proper handling procedures
  • Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards, engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Handle food with care during preparation, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and adherence to safety protocols
  • Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food, coordinating meal presentation, and ensuring timely delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations and dining areas, including dishwashing, utensil organization, and equipment sanitation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold high-quality food standards

Experience

  • Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or institutional settings
  • Hands-on experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
  • Strong background in food handling safety practices aligned with industry standards
  • Previous restaurant or fine dining experience demonstrating culinary skills such as knife techniques and meal presentation
  • Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices for catering, serving, and kitchen management
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment usage and maintenance for efficient meal preparation
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
