Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for procedures and assist the surgical team with setup and equipment
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and circulator; anticipate needs during cases
• Monitor and document counts; communicate any discrepancies to the team to ensure patient safety
• Assist with room turnover and instrument turnaround between cases to support efficient workflow
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and policy requirements throughout the shift

Requirements

• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy required
• Licensure: Active CST credential
• Availability: Start date of 08/03/2026 and ability to work day shift 09:00–21:30
• Setting: Ability to work in a surgical operating room environment in a fast‑paced hospital setting
