- Allocate resources effectively and manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead project teams, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Maintain project documentation and communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
Construction & Store Development:
- Oversee construction projects from estimating through completion, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and support store remodel projects while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Facilitate successful new store openings by ensuring construction activities, operational readiness, and technology deployments are completed on schedule.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, and standards.
- Conduct project site visits as needed to monitor progress, quality, and issue resolution.
Store Systems & Technology:
- Coordinate deployment of store systems, including point-of-sale (POS), payment processing, inventory management, back-office applications, network connectivity, and related retail technologies.
- Partner with IT teams and vendors to ensure systems are installed, configured, tested, and operational for store openings and remodels.
- Manage dependencies between construction activities, operational requirements, and technology implementation schedules.
- Ensure alignment between store operations, technology delivery, and business objectives.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and issue management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and applicable industry standards.
- Analyze project outcomes and recommend process improvements, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and delivery effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 7 - 9 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or professional certifications, in project management, construction management, retail development, store systems implementation, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience managing commercial construction projects, retail remodels, store openings, technology deployments, or cross-functional business initiatives.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders in a multi-project environment.
- Additional construction, facilities, or technology project management certifications are a plus.
