Surgical Technician

Midwest Eye Care is looking for a SURGICAL TECHNICIAN at our Surgery Center located at 4353 Dodge Street

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Monday - Thursday (6am - 4pm) NO WEEKENDS/NO HOLIDAYS or On Call

Compensation Based on experience.

In this role YOU will:

• Assist in patient care in the operating room.
• Work collaboratively with the entire perioperative team.
• Setting up sterile field for each procedure.
• Planning and discussing each procedure with surgical professionals and assuring that all supplies and equipment are available prior to the surgical procedure.
• Preparing, organizing, and maintaining highly complex sterile surgical set-ups.
• Observing and responding promptly to each stage of the surgical procedure and anticipating the needs of the surgeon by maintaining a high level of concentration for extended periods of time.
• In conjunction with the circulating registered Nurse (RN), performing needle and instrument counts

All candidates must have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Passed the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technician helpful but not required.

Offered Candidates will need to do the following before first day:

• Successfully complete a background check which includes an education verification.
• Successfully complete drug testing.
