Hire Up Staffing is seeking a compassionate and reliable PRN Medical Assistant to support a Mental Health Hospital in Dallas, TX. This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant looking for flexible, as-needed work in a behavioral health setting.

- Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Additional PRN opportunities may become available based on facility needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs, including:
- Blood Pressure (BP)
- Heart Rate (HR)
- Oxygen Saturation (SpO?)
- Temperature (when indicated)
- Height and Weight
- Monitor patients during treatment visits as directed by providers.
- Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to clinical staff.
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms between patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.
- Stock examination and treatment rooms with necessary supplies.
- Assist providers with non-invasive clinical procedures and patient care activities.
- Verify patient information and ensure required documentation is complete.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
- Assist with general administrative duties, including answering phones and returning messages.
- Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and facility policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, psychiatric, hospital, or clinical settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of patient vital signs and EMR documentation.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate demeanor.
