Occupational Therapist School Setting in Santa Ana, CA

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapy license
• Recent experience in school-based OT services
• Adaptability to provide therapy across various settings (on-site, home health, teletherapy)
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of IEP process and documentation requirements
• Ability to assess and develop therapeutic plans tailored to individual needs
• Comfort using technology for virtual/teletherapy sessions

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with educational and healthcare standards
• Document progress, maintain records, and write reports to support IEP meetings
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations to the support team
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to modify classroom strategies
• Offer training and resources for instructional personnel regarding student accommodations
• Adapt therapy sessions to accommodate telehealth delivery as needed
• Monitor student progress and refine interventions for optimal outcomes
