CSH is seeking a dedicated Payroll Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the payroll department, processing time off requests, managing staff cancellations, assisting with payroll, and providing general administrative support.
Job Summary:
The Payroll Assistant will provide administrative support in the HR department, including processing time off requests, staff cancellations, and assisting with payroll functions. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining office organization, handling clerical tasks, and supporting various departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather necessary information for I-9 verification for new employees as needed
- Assist with filing, scanning, and data entry for HR paperwork
- Process staff cancellations and time off requests
- Add new hires to the Paychex and NPA systems
- Update and monitor employee timecards, assisting with payroll as necessary
- Ensure office upkeep, including scanning, filing, restocking materials, and ordering supplies
- Provide support to the administrative, clinical, and scheduling departments as needed
- Cover front desk duties when required (e.g., greeting visitors, transferring calls)
- Communicate policy and protocol issues promptly to management
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent team player with a collaborative mindset
- Self-starter with problem-solving abilities
- 3-6 months of payroll experience or knowledge
- Administrative experience (preferred)
