Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team in Natomas, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety of our Warehouse/Office space. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning, floor care, and custodial tasks, ensuring that all spaces meet high standards of hygiene and appearance. The ideal applicant will bring a strong background in janitorial services, industrial cleaning, and facilities upkeep, contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
• Conduct routine custodial duties such as dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning.
• Execute specialized cleaning tasks for commercial and industrial spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Maintain and operate floor care machinery, including buffers and polishers, ensuring surfaces are well-maintained.
• Identifying minor repairs needed or maintenance tasks related to facilities upkeep to support overall building safety.
• Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize daily cleaning schedules and address urgent cleaning needs promptly.

Experience

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
• Skilled in various cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and detailed sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is advantageous.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial and industrial cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of custodial procedures, floor buffing, and floor care techniques.
• Experience handling chemical agents safely during cleaning operations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and painting.
• Strong manual handling skills combined with attention to detail in cleaning routines.
• Prior experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently within a team environment while adhering to safety standards.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs
