Teacher's Aide/Substitute (Paraprofessional)

As an aide/substitute paraprofessional, you will assist the classroom teacher to provide extra support to students with special needs, promoting maximum academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with student hygiene
• Escorting students to various settings in the schools
• Providing meal assistance
• Dispensing medication/perform non-complex health procedures
• Maintaining classroom environment
• Physically supporting students (e.g., lifting students, setting up work areas, helping students use mobility devices)
• Copying/clerical work
• Adapting instructional materials/activities
• Tutoring/providing academic feedback
• Facilitating lessons and model correct behavior
• Taking notes for students
• Implementing behavior management strategies and delivering reinforcements
• Collaborating with teachers (general or special) on strategies for specific students
• Assisting students with using assistive technology during lessons

Requirements:

• Have proof of High School Diploma, or GED equivalent or hold a Teaching License
• Pass a background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $112.00 - $150.00 per day
