## Phlebotomist II (Full Time) Nights – Mercy Hospital St Louis

We are seeking a Laboratory Support Technician II (LST II) — titled Phlebotomist II on this posting — to join the provider care team at Mercy Hospital St Louis on a full-time nights schedule. This role supports laboratory reporting, data and scheduling functions while also performing specimen collection for laboratory testing.
The LST II must provide accurate, timely, and effective laboratory support and demonstrate excellent customer service consistent with the Mercy Signature Service Standards in every patient or customer interaction. You will be responsible for the skillful acquisition of all required types of specimens, as required, for laboratory testing using safe, accurate, effective, and professional methodologies while observing HIPAA confidentiality requirements and laboratory policies.

### Qualifications and experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 6 months phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience or successful completion of a clinical training program.
The LST II position must: satisfactorily complete the specific facility competencies, including but not limited to checklist, written examination, management observation, etc., to be eligible for advancement to the next higher job description.
You will be expected to use professional specimen collection techniques, follow laboratory policies, protect patient privacy under HIPAA, and interact with patients and team members in a customer-service oriented manner.
