Employee Separation Policy: Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply

HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is close, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

  • NBO: 16 hrs
  • EMR: EPIC
  • OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
  • Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum
  • On Call: */hr
  • Charge/Precept: */hr

Billable OT:

  • 36-40 hrs/week, OT billable after 40
  • 48 hrs/week, OT billable after 48

Unit Info:

  • Bed Size: 24 bed, 2 OR
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
  • Patient Types:c-sections, vaginal deliveries, Triage
  • Drips: magnesium, insulin, pitocin
  • Scrubs: hospital provided
  • Deliveries per month; 150 @ MWH / 300 @ IMMC

Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist

  • 24 months of recent/current L&D / Labor & Delivery - CST / Surgical Tech experience in hospital setting [required]
  • C-section/vaginal delivery experience [required]
  • No 1st time travelers, must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 mos
  • NBSTSA certificate [required] - equivalent may be accepted]
  • Level I trauma experience [preferred]
  • Level II or III trauma experience [required]

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months Surgical Tech experience [required]
  • Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Surgical Tech / Labor & Delivery - [required]
  • NBSTSA certificate or equivalent accepted [required] [document]
  • Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]
  • Driver's License [document] [required]
  • AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/client BLS - [required]
