Work Environment

Working in our onsite skilled nursing facility, CNAs are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides round-the-clock care to our residents. Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
• Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, to keep the healthcare team informed about patients’ conditions.
• Support patient mobility and ambulation, helping residents move safely within the facility using assistive devices as necessary.
• Aid in meal service, including assisting patients with eating and hydration, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, prioritizing hygiene and comfort.
• Be proactively involved in patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores and ensure optimal comfort.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a trusting relationship and alleviating feelings of isolation.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including nurses and physicians, to provide comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patients.
• Accurately document patient care activities and any significant observations in a timely manner, contributing to ongoing care discussions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with elderly patients and individuals recovering from surgeries or acute illnesses. Our patient population often includes those requiring long-term care or rehabilitation services. Your attention to detail, empathy, and ability to advocate for our patients will be vital in creating a supportive atmosphere that focuses on their unique needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• Must hold certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program and possess an active certification in good standing with the state regulatory agency.

Compensation and Benefits
