Primary Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and production machinery.
- Install, maintain, and modify motors, motor controls, electrical panels, and wiring.
- Diagnose problems with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), sensors, and instrumentation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain overhead cranes, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment.
- Work safely around high-voltage equipment while following lockout/tagout (LOTO) and all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

Work Environment
- Steel mills are hot, noisy, and physically demanding.
- Most electricians work 12-hour rotating shifts with overtime opportunities.
Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
