Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations. You will perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and provide care in a variety of clinical environments including critical care, emergency, and acute care settings.

This role includes a strong emphasis on supporting a high-acuity Level IV NICU and PICU/PCVICU, where therapists are essential in managing complex respiratory conditions, advanced ventilator strategies, and post-operative cardiac patients.

You will be empowered to practice with a high degree of autonomy using evidence-based protocols, while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on exceptional patient outcomes.

What You Will Do In This Role

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
  • Serve as a key clinician in the Level IV NICU, PICU/ PCVICU, and Adult ICU managing high-acuity and complex cases
  • Support post-operative cardiac patients requiring advanced cardiopulmonary management
  • Perform and manage advanced respiratory therapies, including:
  • Invasive and noninvasive ventilation
  • High-frequency ventilation including Jet ventilator used a primary ventilator for our small baby protocol
  • Airway management and intubation support
  • Nitric oxide and specialty gas therapies
  • Utilize therapist-driven protocols to assess, initiate, adjust, and wean respiratory therapies autonomously
  • Perform routine and advanced respiratory procedures, including ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapies, and pulmonary diagnostics
  • Respond to rapid response and code events as a critical member of the resuscitation team
  • Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing education and competency validation
  • Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and operation of respiratory equipment
  • Provide education and consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, and families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes
  • Support a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and employee engagement
