This role is an entry-level position centered around maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area. The primary responsibilities include washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen tools. Additionally, team members ensure the kitchen and surrounding workspaces are kept clean, including floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves. This position also supports kitchen deliveries by organizing, storing, and rotating products properly. Punctuality, proper grooming, and readiness to work are essential, as is the ability to work scheduled shifts and attend required training and meetings. The role requires delivering excellent customer service by courteously addressing customer and team member needs, answering phones and pages promptly, and assisting with suggestive selling techniques. Whole Foods Market expects adherence to all health, safety, and food safety regulations, including compliance with internal standards and operating procedures, to provide a safe and hygienic shopping experience. This position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $17.00 to $25.40, commensurate with experience, along with eligibility for the company’s comprehensive benefits package known as "Whole Benefits." New employees who complete their initial 90 days successfully may qualify for a wage increase.
