Experienced Plumbing Mechanic (Staten Island)

Well established service and maintenance plumbing company located near the base of the Outerbridge in Staten Island, NY is seeking full-time experienced plumbing mechanics to service residential and commercial accounts. Must be a team player and flexible.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Install, repair, and maintain gas, water and waste pipes, valves, fittings and fixtures in commercial and residential buildings
• Install and repair sump pumps, water heaters, boilers, etc.
• Measure, cut, thread and assemble new pipe, placing the assembled pipe in hangers or other supports
• Respond to, diagnose and resolve plumbing emergencies
• Complete work properly and in a timely manner
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 5 years experience for Plumbing Mechanic
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safety practices
• Must have clean valid drivers license, OSHA 30, OSHA 10/SST Site Safety Training, F-60 and G-60; Gas Operator Qualification is preferred; Full Gas Work is preferred; Journeyman Card is preferred
• Must be able to work alternating on-call (nights and weekends)
