Are you detail-oriented, organized, and looking for a meaningful role in healthcare? Join Vail Valley Surgery Center as a Medical Records Technician, where you'll help support exceptional patient care through accurate and timely health information management.

In this role, you'll work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and leadership to maintain medical records, support compliance efforts, assist with reporting, and contribute to the overall success of our surgery center.

What You'll Do

Maintain accurate, secure, and organized medical records.

Coordinate scanning, review, and completion of patient records.

Communicate with physicians and offices to resolve missing documentation.

Process medical record requests and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Assist with month-end reporting and administrative functions.

Support clinical teams with data collection and quality initiatives.

Track medical records compliance and communicate findings to leadership.

Provide back-up support to front office operations as needed.

What You'll Bring

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge a plus.

Health Information Management or Business-related education preferred.

Healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
