About the Role

As a Mechanical Assembler, you’ll work hands‑on assembling mechanical components and panels using a variety of hand and power tools. You’ll read blueprints, prepare parts for finishing, package completed assemblies, and support multiple departments through cross‑training. What You’ll Do

  • Assemble mechanical components using drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, and tape measures
  • Read and interpret blueprints to complete accurate, high‑quality assemblies
  • Prepare panels for painting by installing insulation and hanging parts
  • Package and verify completed assemblies to ensure correct parts and quantities
  • Cross‑train across departments to expand your skills and support production needs
  • Perform hands‑on mechanical tasks similar to automotive or oil‑change environments
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace in a metal manufacturing setting
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as part of daily work

What You Bring

  • 6+ months of mechanical assembly experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately
  • Confidence using hand and power tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving mindset
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in auto, oil change, or similar mechanical environments
  • Comfort working with metal components
  • Willingness to cross‑train and learn new processes
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

You’ll work in a hands‑on metal manufacturing environment, similar to an auto body shop — fast‑paced, physical, and safety‑focused. The shop is non‑union.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
