Assistant Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent’s primary function is to effectively monitor, direct, and coordinate trade work onsite while facilitating all safety, quality, schedule, and budgetary processes for the project from the start of construction to owner's acceptance. The Assistant Superintendent may have supervisory responsibility for Project Engineers, Interns, and trade labor in his/her area of responsibility and must thoroughly understand construction plans and contract documents including subcontracts agreements, agendas, plans, and specifications. Due to its essential job duties, this role is designated as a safety-sensitive position.
