CNC Technician

This person is responsible for operating a single CNC machine and managing a small facility. The ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated individual with a strong CNC background who is open to learning lab equipment, building out a proper process flow, and working closely with a small local engineering team to deliver samples and test results as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate Swiss-type CNC lathes and related equipment to produce precision components, while performing machining operations using lathes, mills, grinders, and saws
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, interpret engineering drawings and work instructions, maintain material flow, and ensure compliance with quality standards and non-conforming material procedures
• Support engineering and laboratory operations by prioritizing sample preparation and testing, documenting CNC workflows, tracking materials, and collaborating with Engineering, Planning, and Quality teams to deliver accurate and timely results
• Identify and resolve machining and process issues, manage tooling requirements, promote safe work practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, and delivery performance

Required Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in CNC programming, set-up and operation
• Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm
• Knowledge of Swiss CNC equipment
