A Surgical Technologist II position is available in Bakersfield, California. This role involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment, supporting the surgical team through sterile technique, instrumentation, and patient care during operative procedures. • Required Qualifications: Validated competencies in all designated surgical sub-specialties, experience in an acute care operating room setting (minimum 3+ years), high school diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited surgical technology training program (CAAHEP or ABHES), surgical technician certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, possession of a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card, strong knowledge of aseptic technique, robotics, and vascular procedures.
• Additional Information: The role requires adherence to all federal, state, and departmental safety procedures. The Surgical Technologist II assists during all phases of the surgical procedure, maintains sterile fields, and ensures quality patient care. Clinical knowledge and skills across diverse patient populations are essential. The position may involve supporting team members within skill set limits and assisting with turnover cleaning of surgical areas.
