About the Opportunity:
- Job Title: Materials Handler II - Tugger Driver
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
- Location: Ramsey, MN
- Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 5AM-3:30PM
- Position Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in inventory, material handling, part picking, or similar position is preferred.
2. Experience using RF scanning devices.
3. Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write, and understand).
4. Basic counting, adding, and subtracting.
5. Good organization, attention to detail, and time management.
6. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
7. Lift/carry up to 10 lbs. constantly and up to boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
8. Push/pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
9. Perform tasks that are primarily walking and standing for full 8-12 hour shift.
10. Frequently use hands and fingers to pick parts and grip objects, tools, scanner, etc.
11. Occasionally crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, and reach forward and overhead.
12. Bend, twist/turn, push/pull, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary.
13. Operate powered equipment listed above.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for delivering painted units to the assembly department and empty carts back to the paint department.
2. Tugger Driver:
a. Drive PIV that is pulling 2 large trailers that carries carts (4) with units and machines in them.
b. Inventory transactions with a handheld scanner.
c. Work closely with the leads in the paint department and leads in the assembly department to ensure needs are met for both departments.
d. Additional tasks included assisting other material handlers in the Assembly department, working on the assembly line, and assisting the paint unload team with organization of the units.
3. Other:
a. Maintain clean and organized work area and aisles.
b. Report safety concerns.
c. Support training of new team members.
d. Use of hand tools such as safety knife, prybar, and hammer.
e. Perform other duties as assigned.
