We are seeking an experienced Residential Moving Sales Consultant with a strong background in the moving industry. This role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle—from inbound lead qualification through closing—across local, long-distance, and international relocations.

This is primarily an in-office position with flexibility for occasional remote work. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and understands the nuances of residential moving sales.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Lead Management

  • Handle inbound residential moving leads via phone, email, and web inquiries
  • Qualify prospects and guide them through the appropriate estimate process (phone, virtual, or in-home)
  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for local, long-distance, and international moves
  • Manage and maintain a consistent sales pipeline and workflow
  • Follow up consistently to convert leads into booked jobs

Client Experience

  • Serve as the main point of contact from initial inquiry through booking
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored moving solutions
  • Deliver a high-touch, professional experience that reflects our brand standards
  • Address questions, concerns, and changes throughout the sales process

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with operations and dispatch to ensure seamless execution of booked moves
  • Collaborate with inside sales and administrative teams to support lead flow and scheduling
  • Assist with coordination related to apartment building elevator reservation programs when needed

Performance & Accountability

  • Meet and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM systems
  • Provide updates on pipeline, booked revenue, and forecasting
  • Follow company sales processes and best practices consistently

Business Development

  • Generate referrals and repeat business through strong relationship management
  • Identify opportunities to upsell services such as packing, storage, and specialty moving
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor offerings

Qualifications

  • Required: 2+ years of sales experience in the moving and relocation industry (residential preferred)
  • Proven ability to close sales and manage a pipeline
  • Strong knowledge of local, long-distance, and/or international moving processes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and team-oriented
  • Transportation to work in Elk Grove Village office
  • Experience with moving software and virtual survey, a plus
