Nurse Aide Cert Home Care, Part Time 4pm-7pm, Rotating Weekends

The Certified Nurse Aide position involves evaluating patient care needs to provide appropriate and effective care. With minimal supervision in usual situations, this position records patient care information, implements recommendations, manages patient care duties, and upholds accurate documentation.

Essential Job Function:

• Watches for and relays changes in patient symptoms and behaviors to the Registered Nurse for potential adjustments in the care strategy.
• Acknowledging and understanding the communication, whether spoken or inferred, from individuals with psychiatric conditions is necessary for expressing empathy and catering to their needs.
• Organizes educational gatherings for patients.
• Carries out assigned patient care responsibilities as instructed by a Registered Nurse, including monitoring vital signs, testing capillary blood glucose, performing EKG procedures, transferring patients via wheelchair or stretcher (excluding EKG monitoring), assisting with hygiene routines, repositioning patients, facilitating patient movement, and assisting with restroom visits.
• Undertakes supplementary duties as delegated.

Education

• Required: High school graduate or equivalentCompletion of a state approved Nurse Aide 1 training

Experience

• Required: NonePreferred: 1 year experience as a nursing assistant

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: Successfully complete BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire date.Current good standing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry verified through DFS https://www.ncnar.org/verify_listings1.jspMust have reliable transportation with adequate insurance as determined by the organization.Valid NC Driver's License and current automobile insurance
