Walter Knoll Florist, a nationally recognized leader in the floral industry, is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor / Custodian to join our team. This position can be a full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits and opportunities to contribute in other areas of our business, or part-time, 4 hours a day for 5 days.

What You’ll Do

As our Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for more than 100 employees and customers each day. Duties include:

• Cleaning and restocking restrooms
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
• Emptying trash and cleaning receptacles
• Dusting and polishing surfaces and furniture
• Cleaning front doors, windows, and mirrors
• Disinfecting high-touch surfaces
• Removing spills and debris from floors and stairways
• Reporting repair or maintenance issues promptly
• Following procedures for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and surfaces

More Than Cleaning

This is a one-person department with approximately 20 hours per week of janitorial duties. If you are only seeking part-time work, those 20 hours must be spread across at least five days.

For those seeking a full-time schedule, the additional hours will be filled by assisting in other areas of our store, based on your skills and interests. This may include:

• Helping with receiving and stocking products
• Supporting our floral and plant designers
• Assisting at the front counter with customers
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable, professional, and customer-service focused
• Commitment to following all safety and sanitation regulations
