Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled NAP machine welder operator with MIG welding experienceto join our team, bringing energy and precision to our fabrication and construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality welded components and assemblies, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and fabrication skills. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging manufacturing projects, applying your mechanical knowledge and technical skills to deliver exceptional results.
Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components.
- Set up and operate NAP automatic welding machines for pipe fabrication
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding on pipe assemblies and outlets
- Inspect weld quality and make repairs as nneeded
- maintain welding equipment and follow al safety procedures
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly
- Execute pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks following ASME codes & standards for quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, rigging, machining, and construction site practices.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW processes, and welding techniques and ability to pass a weld test
- Experience operating NAP auto welders or silibar automated welding equipment
- Familiarity with technical drawings, and fabrication sheets.
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication processes and shop tools
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts confidently.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations in fabrication tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred
- Fire protection, sprinkler pipe, or industrial pipe fabrication experience
- Basic machine programming and troubleshooting skills
Pay is dependent on experience.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
