Production Technician – Precast

Location: Spokane, Washington

Wilbert Precast, Inc. is hiring a Production Technician – Precast to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals with construction, manufacturing or framing experience who want steady, year-round work and the opportunity to learn a specialized trade. The Production Associate assists in building precast concrete products from start to finish. You will work with forms, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing while learning industry-specific skills alongside experienced team members.

Precast experience is not required — we will train the right candidate.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare forms and molds according to product specifications and drawings
  • Apply release agents and assemble reinforcement (rebar, wire, cages, inserts)
  • Pour, consolidate, and finish concrete using proper techniques and tools
  • Strip forms and remove finished products without damage
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform patching, grinding, sealing, and final finishing as required
  • Identify defects and assist with corrective actions
  • Safely operate mixers, vibrators, overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools
  • Monitor concrete consistency and adjust placement techniques accordingly
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and plant policies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate production issues or delays to leads
  • Support plant efficiency and continuous improvement efforts

What You’ll Need

  • 2+ years of construction, manufacturing, framing or concrete production experience
  • Ability to read basic production drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in a physical environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Team collaboration and leadership support
  • Consistent productivity and time management

Preferred:

  • Previous precast or concrete finishing experience
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience
  • Experience reading shop drawings or blueprints
  • OSHA or safety training certifications

Training Provided

  • Concrete forming and finishing
  • Product specifications and quality standards
  • Equipment operation (forklift amp; crane)
  • Precast manufacturing processes

Work Environment amp; Physical Demands

  • Indoor plant facilities and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to concrete dust, vibration, noise, and weather conditions.
  • Requires standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and manual dexterity.
