POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully functional plant environment. This position is responsible for performing a variety of hands-on maintenance, repair, and upkeep tasks while providing proactive support to ensure facilities, equipment, and systems operate efficiently and safely.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Live and role model company values and culture at all times

Clean and maintain bathrooms, offices, lunch areas, and dumpster zones multiple times daily

Monitor and replenish factory supplies including hand towels, toilet paper, and manufacturing consumables

Operate forklift to move materials, unload chassis, roofs, and interdecks, and empty dumpsters

Maintain cleanliness and organization of plant grounds—both interior and exterior

Drive company vehicle to pick up parts, deliver tools for repair, and run errands as needed

Assist with plant safety and security by observing and reporting misconduct or unsafe behavior

Notify management of damaged property, full trash roll-offs, or maintenance needs

Monitor and manage oil and coolant waste disposal

Support toolroom operations when required

Perform basic repairs and maintenance on plant equipment such as air compressors and air tools

Participate in the Health & Safety Committee and contribute to a culture of safety

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Proven history of basic plant maintenance (e.g., repairing leaks, servicing compressors, fixing air tools)

Willingness to perform daily cleaning tasks across all facility areas

Mechanically inclined with hands-on experience in repairs and maintenance

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently

Familiarity with health and safety protocols; OSHA training is a plus

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

Strong communication skills and willingness to speak up regarding safety or policy violations

Regularly lift up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and work at heights.

Exposure to vibration and moving mechanical parts is common
