Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care and administrative excellence within a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient service in outpatient healthcare environments.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by documenting patient information, medical history, and treatment details clearly and thoroughly.
- Support medical staff with basic life support (BLS) procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage patient intake processes, including obtaining medical histories and updating demographic data.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing medical documentation including ICD coding and medication administration records.
Qualifications
- No prior experience is require, on job training is provided
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding standards essential for accurate documentation is a plus
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings is expected
